Admission Requirements for Non -degree seeking students

Non-degree status includes those students who are admitted for a future semester and students who are degree-seeking at another institution, but taking classes at the Barry University blog  .If the students wish to take courses for purposes of individual enhancement, teacher qualifications, or to secure credit to transfer to another organization, then student may apply for non-degree-seeking status.

As a non-degree-seeking student, it may register for a limited number of credits as prescribed by the specific school in which classes are being taken. In order to apply for admissions as a non-degree-seeking student you must follow these steps:

  •  Present a fulfilled Application for Non-Degree Admission to the Division of Enrollment Services. Download and produce the PDF file and send by mail
  •  Send non-refundable application fee ($30.00). Please make check payable to Barry University. This fee is waived for Barry former students.
  •   Send all required credentials:
  1. If the students are currently enrolled in a degree program elsewhere they must submit a signed statement of good standing from their home institution.
  2. If they are a high school graduate seeking personal/professional enrichment, then must submit a high school transcript, a copy of your high school diploma, or the GED test results.
  3.  If they are a college graduate seeking teacher certification, then must submit proof of graduation from a regionally accredited school in the form of either a College transcript
  4. If they  have earned college credits (not currently enrolled)/ or if you are a college graduate seeking personal/professional enrichment, then must submit proof of graduation from a regionally accredited school in the form of College transcript
